Arriving in Kabanjahe , you still must travel 24 km to the north , the route to Lake Toba.                                        Meriam Putung-objek tour in Medan-North Sumatera 

In the Sultanate of Iskandar Muda (1607 - 1636) had occured a battle between The Kingdom of Aceh and The Royal of Aru Baru. War happen because The King of Aceh desire to marry a very beautiful woman of  Royal of Aru Baru but failed. The woman is Putri Hijau who was so lovely and her body emits green light.

The cannon which is set to for war became hot and finally exploded, broken and thrown. The front of the cannon fragments thrown into The Karo Highland near Kaban Jahe, while the rear was thrown to Labuhan Deli. From Labuhan Deli this cannon moved to Maimun Palace.

The Meriam Putung now placed in the Maimun Palace courtyard . in Aur Village, Maimun Medan Distric.
